Apparently, President Bush is coming to Canada, and you know what that means...it's protest time! I want to go to Ottawa and join in on the demonstrations, but right know I'm broke so I don't know if I'll be able to make it. Is anyone else here planning to go and exercise their democratic rights?
I said I didn`t participate on other threads, but I will not pass up this opportunity to demonstrate against Dubya. Besides, I live in Hull, Que, a short walking distance from Parliament Hill.

I hope that we can use this forum to post details of demonstration around the country.

George probably won't be indicted in Canada, but it would be the ideal place to do it. I mean picture it, the US's closest trading partner (and once best friend) indicts its President. The funny thing is that the case would be HRM Queen Elizabeth II of Canada vs. President George Walker Bush of the United States...a lot of Americans would be *royally* ticked (pardon the horrible pun). This would probably strengthen Canada's appreciation for the monarchy (I personally don't care whether the crown stays or goes, as long as we just wait till Lizz is gone please, I mean, I like her, but I loath her son, but I like his son...wow, I'm confused).

When Ronald Reagan adressed parliament, NDP MP Svend Robinson heckled him over the American Star Wars plan. It was an embarrassment to Mulroney's government, but this time the situation could be even more embarassing if the governing Liberals can't control my favourite Liberal MP...Carolyn Parrish. I urge Ms. Parrish to stand by her convictions and voice the views of her nation, afterall, freedom of speech is her right as a Canadian, and not even the alledged most powerful man in the world can't stop that. Sorry George, no one's going to sign a loyalty oath at this rally (maybe Stephen Harper or Paul Martin, but they also have the freedom to do that).

Although I think that Bush can not be legally arrested because he is a head of state...

...I read it recently but I am not sure where...will look...

ahh that worked out nicely:

Bush can't be arrested.
