the search function on the site was always pretty usless, rather than trying to make one that didnt suck that search the database internaly, I decided to use google's API to make a search for the site.

It is functional, simple yet effective, seems to give pretty good results from my tests.

The search field on the front-page uses this new search, as well as the search block.

There is still the forum/phpbb search, but this might actualy worth better than it for forum related searches as well. Just need to figure out how I can tell it to only search forum pages.
