So did things go according to plan.A Majority Government for the Liberals and a strong presence for the NDP as the official opposition. Thats the way things should be here in BC. Campbells government has the ability to get things done but finally there will be some talk within the house and questions raised by more than 2 members. Remember last election when only 2 members of the NDP were elected because we had to get rid of them. Now 4 years later NDP back to the strength in numbers that they should be to be an effective opposition. Liberals still hold a majority so plans will continue to improve BC.

What do you think?

I voted NDP only cuz I was certain that the Liberals would get back in but I wanted a stronger opposition. If possible in BC, we might have four years of reasonably sane government. Hopefully things will only get better.

Same with me. Also..we have two Liberal knobs representing us...so I didn't want them to get back in.

Same here as well. I voted NDP. The results were about what I expected them to be. I am surprised however, by the closeness of the STV referendum. I wonder why it's taking so long to count all the votes from that?

NDP as well! It's to bad actually that the green participated (in my view) because they took a lot of votes that were most likely going to go to the NDP, which I wanted to win. Oh well, its only fair after all because this country does alow free speech!

Ditto here as well. I knew the Liberals would win, but I'm glad to see a stronger opposition.

Wouldn't you people have shit bricks if everyone felt the same way and we had a NDP 77-2

Scape @ Sat May 21, 2005 10:50 pm

If they got 1% more of the green vote they would have been the government. I am happy that they didn't get in but the system is still not fixed and the NDP and the Liberals like it that way.

I think I'd be in that long convoy headed to Alberta.
I agree, I'd be back in Alberta, tonnes of jobs there when i went the first time in 2000. Just no mountains in Calgary and Edmonton though, so that sucks.

A half hour drive west of Calgary on #1 will put you right in the rockies.
Banff sucks but the mountains rock.

The NDP used to get my vote but that was years ago, things changed after I started working for a living. They may look like a socialist party looking out for the little guy and us blue collar workers but their really just ripping off the taxpayers like the rest of them.
Jack Layton doesnt even know who to support anymore, his promises from Martin seem to be dwindling before his eyes but what do you expect when you try and make a deal with the devil?

Welders helpers-$260.00/day(Mostly kids or ground gals)
Welders-$775.00/day
Operators-$360.00/day
Spread boss-$800.00/day
Lets see the NDP generate these kind of wages.......and if any of you younger folks want to make $800.00/day then get your welding "B"pressure ticket and your good to go.When I see a 20 year old making $200,000/year running beads it makes me think I should have taken a welding trade in school.
Get a big ass welding truck and you go where you please. Big demand for welders, anyone wants info then PM me and I'll do what I can. Pretty well booming here,if you cant get a job here then it's only because you cant get out of your house. I dont mean "You" but my grammer sucks so you know what I mean.
