I take it you've never visited a Superstore after lunch time - empty shelves, no produce, half full meat coolers...yet people still shop there.
Target's failure was a combination of reasons, not just poor inventory levels.

Target's failure was a combination of reasons, not just poor inventory levels.
But it was the main reason. It was a terrible first impression to Canada to come with bare shelves.
They didn't compete on price and offered a little bit better service than you average Wal-Mart.
Just shows that Canadians want selection and good pricing. Everything else is secondary.
