I am playing around with a mod that will allow viewing of the forums from a mobile device such as a Pocket PC or a mobile phone.

Can someone with one of these deviced let me know if the following URl works: http://m.canadaka.net/

Its just loading as a blank page on my desktop, but i'm not sure if desktop browsers can load WAP, xHTML.

   

I've been on here with my BlackBerry.......but it's not that great because of the screen size.

   

well thats what this is for, it presents the forums in a very simple text only view designed for small screens.

All three are blank for me too. Along the top it has: Index.php?type=wap or xhtml or html

   

So this thread is a couple of years old, but the idea is still a great one. I know I often get bored at work once I'm caught up, and browse the net on my phone.

I have been here using my blackberry a few times. While it does work, there's still a lot of extra stuff to load.

If you can find the time to make the site mobile friendly, that'd be awesome. However, if it can't be done, I'll just tough it out.

Which reminds me, I still haven't finished the darn mobile template for the forums! I will do that next week.

You could use RSS feeds as well, but you only see the most recent post and cannot post back. The RSS file can also be used to get an RSS feed of any one forum.

Example: Canadian Politics forum only
