Canadaka Canadaka:
I'm sorry, but that site is no where near acurate. Alexa is rather useless for web stats, since it only can sample a small portion of webtraffic who have there toolbar installed.

I have the actual logfiles for the site and the Google analytics which tracks every pageview.

Here is the actual picture. CKA gets a lot of traffic from search engines, and a lot of this traffic is international, and most of this traffic doens't stick around much.

But the overall Canada is still the top source. This is the top 10 sources since the start of 2008 until today. I can also tell you that the site gets more traffic from western Canada than eastern.

1. Canada 55.48%
2. United States 23.07%
3. United Kingdom 3.84%
4. Germany 1.73%
5. Australia 1.36%
6. India 0.90%
7. France 0.82%
8. Netherlands 0.64%
9. Turkey 0.60%
10. Italy 0.58%

I'd be curious for the Canuck breakdown. It seems at times that BC dominates - just like it does outside the forums.

The statistics are under "about" on the dropdown menu above:

Canadian Regions (based on forum timezone settings)this currently is very inaccurate, because the signup default timezone has been -8 & -7. So if someone does not change it from the default, they will be considered from BC or Alberta. I tried to lessen this by only including members who have made at least one forum post, thinking these members are more likely to have set there timezone.

British Columbia: 896 (49.7)
Alberta: 1201 (66.6)
Sask & Manitoba: 110 (6.1)
Ontario & Quebec: 358 (19.9)
Maritimes: 132 (7.3)
NewFoundLand: 112 (6.2)

It also said you host in Kelowna. Damn, commute must be a bitch for you Trev!

My datacentre's head office is in kelowna, but the datacentre and my servers are in downtown Vancouver.

The stats don't show per province, but they show per city. Here are the top 10 Canadian cities.

1. Edmonton 6.80%
2. Calgary 6.42%
3. Vancouver 5.13%
4. Toronto 4.87%
5. Ottawa 4.20%
6. Winnipeg 2.59%
7. Victoria 2.42%
8. Halifax 2.21%
9. Montreal 1.85%
10. Etobicoke 1.69%

When I saw that site I entered in CKA to see if it was already listed, it wasn't and it took about 5 minutes to come up with that stat table. I wonder if that was a snap shot of the main site on that day?

They are probably just looking at IP addresses. That does not mean the person that has that IP is American. I'm in Chicago, but I am Canadian.
