This is what I'm getting when I go to see who's left a comment...
Template->loadfile(): No file specified for handle overall_header
i was doing some work on the blogs yesterday, might have been during that. But that error should not be there anymore. Was fixing the advanced blogs to the new "lightweight" header customization i did.
Arctic_Menace like I said, you need to do some process of ellmination, try disabling certain parts of your blog to see if it loads normal.
I'm thinking that i might try to impliment custom blog url's. Right now the blog url is your username. But some people have group blogs, like the new NDP one. So the blog url might be better to be something like ndpgroup.canadaka.net
I still need to figure out a way to make the blogs have there own subdomain dynamicaly though.
Hey Trev, I'm doing a project for school, and I was wondering if I could get a second blog temporarily for this project. I'd so ace it if I had a "website" to complement it. Is it possible?
It would be a fairly minimal second one. Very basic. I'll need it for max three weeks from tomorrow.
the way the blog system is setup, blogs are connected to user accounts, so right now there is no way for an account to have more than 1 blog.
.... you could create another account and make a blog. This is not ideal, but i did not make the core blog code, and it would be a large amount of work to change the system.
It's alright. At least I know what my options are... Thanks Trev!
K, I have made some changes to the blog, and eliminated some stuff. I changed the blog temporarily for a School project, so don't be alarmed...
Yeah, malicious and long ass porn links were posted in the shoutbox by some anonymous asshole...
yah I thought it might be the shoutbox. they were probably posted long ago, since your blog has been slow for a long time. spammers shouldn't be able to do that anymore. But loading much better 1.4514s better than 20s and timing out half the time, heh.
Back in Business baby!
Finally got to some small Blog bugs on my todo list.
The page number links on the Blog listing page didn't work properly, as well as the sorting options at the top. Now you can sort the blog list by things like most viewed and it will work.
Also fixed the blog calendar links.
I had to removed the "Trackbacks" function, because I found that there was over 10,000 trackback entrees/links that were probably 99.9% SPAM.
So i doubt anyone actualy used trackbacks, and now they have just become another spammer tool, so the function has been removed and all previous trackbacks deleted.
I decided to change the header for the blogs a bit, its now a bar right across the top.
