Turfed or skidded -- fired
In and out -- travel time paid or airfare etc.
Blackballed --- useless employee no one will hire
Ringer -- full paycheck
Bird dogger --- foreman that watchs workers closely
Lolly gagging --- wasteing time
Trick knee --- worker spends more time on compensation than working
Compo -- workers compensation
Sub -- living allowance (short for subsistance)
Traveler --- out of province worker
Running shoe job -- fast paced job
blew one -- missed a shift
Eg. I was thinking of going to work up North what is a ringer worth with an in and out

Oggie - Ocean
Pusser as a box lunch - very navy or military
Hose bosn - fireman
Ping bosn - sonarman

Shit storm-what happens before a cluster.

Wisconsin is known to have its slang...
First known one- Eh?
Yes many people do say it, my family completely, along with many other people in Wisconsin. It is only really heard in small towns away from the cities. And the further north you go, all the way into Canada, the more you hear it.
Stop and Go Light- A Wisconsin word simply for "traffic lights"
Bubblers- No not a bong, but a water fountain or drinking fountain
dat- word for "that"
*We dont call it POP...its "soda"
