You know what's a head scratcher though? The schtick is he gets pissed off at the producer and is going to tell the real news as opposed to the BS news as he's told to tell it.

But what he's saying sounds a lot like what I hear from BBC or the Guardian on any given news day.

It's in the form of a tirade as opposed to mannered prose, but other than that, same thing.
