NDP and the same sex marriage bill
I found a link for you, Dan.
I'm not willing to put a lot of effort into an argument when your answer is just going to be, "I hate Bob Rae so he must be bad and the NDP are all commies." That's been your stance every single time the NDP have been mentioned.
Talk to Avro all you want, not accepting that money put into an economy will stimulate that economy no matter where the money comes from shows that you haven't done the homework.
I really don't care what Bob Rae did at a karate meet. Just as I don't care that Mike Harris played golf and possibly cheated.
Avro and others opposing the NDP stance.
It's a fact that gay marriage is a charter of rights issue.

So any member of any party that opposes gay marriage, is in fact opposing the Charter of Rights. I can understand the New Conservatives, since really if they were in power we would see a remodeled charter of rights (made by the U.S influence).
I'm not a supporter of gay marriage myself. But I'm also not a supporter of many different things in society. Many things in society are against the bible. Yet the church still exist. In other countries where it is already legal for gay marriage, there are still churches standing. People still go to church. The world doesn't stop.
Also the catholic lost their sympathy from me, the day they allowed children to be molested. What do they do? They blame it on a devil and life goes on. b.s.

Rev,
Don't bother. They are just hooting a repeated label that they have no idea what their talking about. I will agree the NDP has to become more centric. But I won't agree that the NDP is a communist party, only will I agree tha they have some communist ideas. With Jack Layton, they are actually more Liberal then the present right wing Liberal Party.

Communism:
1. A form of socialism that abolishes private ownership
1. A political theory favouring collectivism in a classless society
Collectivism: A political theory that the people should own the means of production.
Classless: Favouring social equality
1. A form of socialism that abolishes private ownership
The NDP has never said anything about abolishing Private Corporations. What they oppose is Private Corporations owning, and running products and services that are important to the well being of the public. Health Care, Education, Water etc.... Why? Well its a fact that private corporations make basic living products and services unaffordable for low income families. Not that auto insurance is a basic living service, it does make for a good example.
Auto Insurance is not affordable for many in Canada. Another example I guess is the millions without health insurance in the U.S. with a private health care system. I've talked to an American that moved here and she said she was only lucky to have a high paying job in the U.S and public insurance through the company. She said its sad for those who are unemployed.

Classless: Favouring social equality
To put it in NDP terms. People should own the means of production for all basic living necessities. They don't oppose Private Corporations of materialistic things that we can live without. As for social equality. I understand that social equality are such evil words amongst right wing fanatics.
The only person that would oppose Social Equality, would be people who are already financially stable. Actually that isn't true. I'm financially stable, but I for some reason ain't able to forget that there are others who are not, and will always have a hard time getting ahead. Everyone is under different circumstances in life, let's not forget them.

Enough snow. But still below average. The past few years our winters have been getting shorter, and less snow fall.
