I don't see what the problem is, Godz. These people got a small grant, $133,000 is small BTW, to make a film that employs Canadians, has a viewership, and has already been sold to foreign markets.
Your complaint is what? That there are going to be penises in the film? Considering the number of dinks in the Conservative Party, I'd expect you to cheering this on.

These grants are not political. A film-maker applies for them according to certain criteria and if they meet the criteria they get the grants. The system exists to develop Canadian talent and create jobs for Canadians. It has built a burgeoning film industry in Canada of not just Hollywood productions being made here, but independent films being produced. It also isn't, as you so childishly characterize it, porn. If it was it wouldn't meet the criteria to get the grants. Is that too hard for your tiny little brain to grasp?
Now I realise that if it was up to you, we'd only subsidize weapons makers and oil companies, but most of us live in a world that has a much wider scope than guns and money.

They do not produce any Canadian talent, all the major Canadian clebreties you hear about in Hollywood made it wihtout any help for the government. Not evreyone want to support this bullshit film industry who would'nt be made without tax money subsidizing it. If the Majority of the Canadian people want to see these bullshit, sorry for an excuse films they would have paid for them individualy.
An actor is only worthwhile if they become a major celebrity? That's all there is to the industry? All those people who simply work for a living don't count then? Sorry, bud, but I know a few people in the film industry. Camera operators, carpenters, landscapers, caterers, random production staff. I'll get a bunch of them to come over and you can stand in the middle of them and make your asinine and ill-informed statements. Maybe we'll make a film of it.

I haven't seen the ones in the story, no. I have seen a lot of Canadian films though. They are good, extremely good. Probably why they win awards.

That's the whole point, the Liberals have eased regulations on film standards, which allows PORN films to fall throught the cracks and receieve a government check for their projects.
