Ford continues to be the most reliable American automaker.

Government Motor Company sucks, but Chrysler really sucks. Tax money well spent.

I notice my Volvo S80 did well. :D

What? No Range Rovers? How odd!

I am a big 4 door & V8 fan too, but you'd probably like the SHO. V6 Turbo.

desertdude @ Thu Oct 28, 2010 8:34 am

Well till now it hasn't hit the markets here and turbos are too fussy.

As carol shelby said there is no replacement for displacement 8)

Robair @ Thu Oct 28, 2010 9:41 am

Right. Because displacement has everything to do with reliability...

Well in a way, it kinda does. A turbo-charger is just more parts that can break down. I'd rather have a V8 under my hood than a turbo-charged V6 cranking out the same power.

Exactly, turbos are almost always running on the edge and its doesn't take much for them to go wonky and pear shaped, a lot times taking your motor with them. How many turbo charged cars which haven't been pampered religiously that last a long time.

Plus all the cooling down after running and even longer if driven hard is just too much fuss.

Small block V8's are some of the most reliable and least fussy engines ever built requiring minimal maintainace going 100k kms is considered just out of the box and 300k kms considered to broken in.

The next inline would be the Jap IUZ V8 featured in the Lexus LS400's

Bah, like I said in the other thread not intrested in "super or exotic" cars, there are so many of them here they've lost their exclusive appeal, not to mention highly impractical things. I even passed up a job which required me to drive a couple of ferraris and lambos. I know most people would pay to drive these, but not me. Just today I saw one of these in white buzzing about the beach road next to me.

and this in flat black trying some traffic light shinanigans

Image

didn't do a thing for me, I was more intrested in this on display on the public roads today, now this is something we don't see often here

The NSX isn't really all that 'exotic'. It uses a tuned version of the stock Acura V6 and you can generally get into a used NSX in California for $25,000 to $50,000...which is well within reach of a lot of people.
