To me there is NO argument. Anyone who does this is scum and should be heavily fined if not put into jail. Just seems that the DEMs are more organised then the Repub's are at this point.

I'm gonna plead ignorance here, but what does this matter?

Can't a registered Republican vote for someone else when he/she gets into the voting booth? Or is there some other craziness tied to registering for a party in the USA, like an automatic vote or something?

Apparently it's only in the Primaries where you have to "party vote" unless it's an open primary then if you're not registered with the party you're still able to vote for a candidate.

As for Federal Elections, you can vote for whom ever you want no matter what party they belong to. Besides it's a secret ballot so nobody would know if a Democrat voted Republican or vice versa.
