Doubtful with Bryan Fuller. He's got too much power as a producer now to get run over by anyone who wants to alter the creative vision too much.

Star Trek: Discovery got pushed back to next September from it's overly ambitious premiere of January 2017.

The word is that the scripts are being redone because preview audiences found the shows to be too political.

Correction: it's been rescheduled for May, not September 2017.

So it's going to run through the summer, or it's going to be one of those 10 - 14 episodes per season shows. :( Or like Stargate:SG1 was, where it ran half the season in the summer, half in January/February.

Being internet it could be like the Netflix shows where they dump them all at once and let the viewer watch them as they desire. Hopefully it's that and not standard network/AMC type of things with interminable breaks for shit like NCAA basketball, Christmas, or whatever the fuck it is they use to justify taking three months off in the middle of something like a sixteen episode season of Walking Dead.
