That opening goal for the Czech Republic must have been quite the eye opener....

This was the first time in the tournament where Canada didn't open the scoring, it was also the first time Team Canada found themselves behind in the score, they had lead every game they played, including the SO loss to the US, where they were playing with the score tied, only losing in the SO.

   

And the boys kick it into high gear in the second. 5-1 with 7 minutes left in the second!

   

The flood gates opened during dinner......

   

Wow.

I must say though that the Czechs have played very well.

   

Canada wins it 7-2, they now go on to play Sweden for the Gold medal tomorrow at 5:00pm PT

   

Damn, hearing O Canada played at the end of the game never gets old....

   

Good one lads. The Gold game will a little tougher.

I made it that far, then fell asleep.

   

USA 5 - 0 over Czechs already, halfway 2nd period.

   

not showing the GOLD MEDAL game on tv here in halifax... ?????!?!?!?!?!? anyone else blacked out?

Ref is doing well.
