I had thought about setting up this thread yesterday but hesitated as Hyack usually sets up the World Junior thread

Anyway, it's up and just in time for Canada's first game starting shortly. It should be a great tournament as always.

GO CANADA!

4-0 in the second. Morgan Frost has 2 goals and an assist.

Pardon me...just looked away for a second. I think Frost just potted another one.

Gotta love our boy getting a shutout, eh, Hyack and Strutz? [B-o]

And I kind of lost interest after awhile but didn't he also get an assist?

Oh, you betcha, Dipietro got an assist on Frost's 3rd goal at 1:50 into the 2nd period! Frost got the hat trick and 2 assists in the game.

Canada next plays Switzerland on Thursday in Vancouver at 5:00pm PT.

Denmark only had 14 shots on goal the entire game so the shutout wasn't hugely impressive but a couple of those saves were pretty good. I'd like to see how he does against a more offensive team.

Wow. No comments at all about Canada's win tonight?

I missed the game due to work but am glad to see that our guys won tonight. Not quite the same level as the game against Denmark as we out-shot Switzerland 32-17 for a 3-2 final.

Looking forward to Saturdays game against Czech.

N_Fiddledog @ Sat Dec 29, 2018 6:01 pm

Not sure what to make of this team yet. Tonight's game starting right now against the Czechs might tell a tale.

Strutz @ Sat Dec 29, 2018 6:14 pm

It should be interesting for sure.
