Just hearing about this on another site.

Pretty serious damage shaping up. Roads near the airport are reportedly so badly damaged that they're impassable by any emergency vehicles.

Interesting little sidebar on that...

I imagine a sciencey guy like Ray already knows this but isn't it interesting that Alfred Wegener who some call the Father of plate tectonics (and continental drift theory for that matter) had to battle the scientific "consensus" of the day.

One might say he was a "denier."

   

But wait; didn't a consensus of scientists say that Wegener was wrong and that his crackpot theory was pure hokum?

Then all these tectonology followers should and MUST be pilloried as heretics!!!
