I found this pretty wicked site that sell tons of pool cues, but I do not know anything about pool cues and I have know idea what pool cues to buy for my uncles birthday next month.

This Lightning pool cue or Lizard Jump pool cue?

Can anyone help me out and tell me which is the better buy?

Those cues are 95% the same, you could buy either without trouble.

What you need to find is what weight your uncle uses;

between 17 - 21 ounce cues.

p.s. a good cue should cost 4 - 5 hundred dollars, you sure
you want to buy him one of these ?

Okay thank you! I am pretty sure he uses 21 ounce cues...and I do not have a lot of money, so I was just buying something in my price range, if I had a lot of money I would buy the most expensive ones...thank you very much for your help :D

Just from the looks I'd prefer the Lizard Jump. The description says a linen wrap but I don't think it does and I prefer no wrap. Besides it on sale XD

I was leaning more towards the Lizard Jump one too, thanks for your help :)

I thought that a jump cue was shorter than a regular one.
But it seems that they are the same length and weight.

One thing I hated was getting cues as gifts,i had my own table and used to play all the time and a cue is a very personal thing,it has to fit and have just the right balance.

I was going to mention that but thought he wanted to get him a cue. I had thought he could get a gift certificate but I figured he had thought of that too. Your right of course. I had this thing about using the most twisted house cue I could find with a wide tip and weighing 16 or 17 oz.. :D

Yah,I used to play on a league in this municipality of 10,000,the wife finally bought me a pool table for the basement thinking it would keep me home from teusday night league pool. :|
I had 3 or 4 cues,used a 28 for breaking and would get 3 every time,then switch between a 17 or 19 depending on the shots.
I remember sanding it between shot's,I was good back then,It would take me lots of practice to get back to those days though now as I havent played in a while.
I never lost too many games as I grew up in the pool halls,when I should have been in school. :lol:
