The rumour mill here says that the price of coffee will drasticly increase this winter. Something to do with the New Oleans Flood.

JayRoc @ Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:17 am

Hope not, i spend over 20 bucks a day at Timmy's as it is. All these increases are gonna force my rates up!

LittleBastard @ Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:18 am

I generally crack open a Diet Pepsi first thing in the morning for my caffeine fix!?

But if I had to pick between coffee or tea.... I'd have to go with the tea.

JayRoc @ Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:20 am

Do ya drink that tea with yer pinky stickin out? lol

Avro Avro:
Yeah, is that wrong? More caffine in tea anyways, girls drink coffee.

I'm a tea drinker too (in the evening; coffee in the morning), but I'm pretty sure tea has 1/13 the caffiene of coffee, or something like that...

The Lumberjack @ Fri Sep 02, 2005 9:47 am

Assam tea is yum scrum. Have you tried it Avro? Twinings brand is available in Canuck stores.

Tim's is OK coffee at a great price, but the best coffee that I've tasted is from Williams Coffee pub in Toronto.

I love a Starbucks, but can only endulge when at Halifax airport.

Steeped tea is so totally "ew"

There is no caffeine in Canadian Mountain Dew. We get the shaft on that one.

I was at a Serious Coffee (a chain of coffee shops on Vancouver Island) this morning (the line up for the grand opening of the new MEC was down the block, around the corner and down the next block) and ordered a large dark-roast 'for there'. While I was there a girl ordered a 16oz, 4-shot Americano. My eyes popped out of my head. Later a girl ordered a "16oz cigar". I had to ask. "Did you call her drink a cigar?"
"Yes. It's like an Americano without the hot water. You pour the espresso and let it run. It's very intense, I've never had one but those who like it like it a lot."
Not enough time in her life for blinking? I love the taste of strong coffee, but that's insane.

Work has free coffee, my contractor has shit coffee but occasionally we sneak in the Starbucks because we have a few that work there and get the overflow. The ministry has Van Houtte that is ok but the hot chocolate is much better. A few employees swear you get high off it after their 5th or so. I am a timmies fan, always have been.
