You people are paying $1.70 per litre for gas???

Fuck...that's almost seven dollars a gallon!!! I paid $3.80 a gallon for 91 octane last night and thought it was too much...and that's nearly HALF what BC pays!!!

That's INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!

Vancouver loves their taxes, as shown by the tax-hiking hard-left crazies they incessantly keep voting into the mayor's chair and to city council. If that's what they want then screw 'em. There's no one to blame but themselves. The rest of us aren't here on this earth to save people like that from their own stupidity.

raydan @ Fri Jun 07, 2019 12:38 pm

The price here is $1.244

It would cost me about $20 in gas to get to the USA and back.

...and, at best, they'd turn me back at the border... or arrest me. 8O

It doesn't cost me a thing to visit the USA.

FYI:

As of today:

$3.80 USD / US gallon = $1.33 CDN / Litre

Current Vancouver avg price is $1.40 CDN / Litre.

Vancouver prices are all kinds of stupid because of taxes and a lack of supply of refined fuels from Alberta (no pipeline capacity).

I paid 97.4/litre today when I filled up in Edmonton.

I would love to see how much BC's specific blend legislation adds to the cost, but that portion has been excluded from the committee, so...

Varying between 1.13 and 1.16 where I am. 1.15 is about 3.28 usd / gallon.

So...
...gas costs me less than in the USA
...Canadian money
...no spending $20 in gas there and back
...the taxes I pay stay in Canada

Screw that, Americans should be travelling here for gas.

raydan @ Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:43 pm

...AND, I don't have to see, interact with or talk to any Americans. [cheer]

Bart is on the west coast. His gas prices are elevated relative to other US prices just as much as BC gas prices are elevated relative to RoC.

US gas is cheaper, but not by enough for someone to physically go out of their way to get it. Unless you have exceptionally large tanks, or a bed full of cans, or if they value their own time so poorly.

stratos @ Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:44 pm

This morning $2.23 a gallon near my place.

raydan @ Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:46 pm

Yeah, but who wants to live near your place?

peck420 @ Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:50 pm

This morning, gas cost me $2.73 USD / gallon.

But, I doubt you want to live by my place either. XD

Edmonton, right?

Well it would bring me closer to the Rockies... and the Pacific Ocean. :D

...and 7.4% of the population speaks French. [cheer]
