I'm going to hit the hardware store for a hacksaw blade just for cutting meat.
Not one store in the area has had Chinese cut spare ribs on over 3 years.
Or fish. Fucking road only goes to Prince Rupert and we get frozen Icelandic cod, Vietnamese Sewer Fish, zero oysters, zero crab, salmon and halibut only when Head Office in Calgary distros it. Gas prices and Covid have ended the guy with the Fish Truck... I'd die for some halibit cheeks....

Going to a friends for almost turkey dinner. Everything, except the bird. Not sure what he'll make instead, but it's always good.

And yes, they have been at home alone for two weeks, and I have been for like 19 months.

Thanksgiving hot dogs and Old Dutch potato chips. Just the 2 of us and neither wants to cook anything

Hear me out... a home-made pepperoni and cheese pizza on tortilla with spicy marinated vegetables, served with tzatziki dip. [drool]

Only in Canada eh? Pity.

We had a roasted bird Tuesday night, leftovers yesterday and so I'm going to get started on chicken stock shortly. Will make enough to freeze some for a future soup and of course have soup tonight. [drool]

One of my favourite dishes - manicotti, with a spinach salad and cheesecake for dessert! [drool]

The stock has been simmering for over 5 hours now and the aroma is awesome. Almost time to strain it then make soup for tonight with the meat I kept back plus veggies of course. My bf is going to make a batch of his biscuits to have with.

No idea what we can eat.
We were going to go panic buying, but the fridge and freezer are so full we can't fit any more in them!
So first stop is to buy a new freezer....

"Buy a freezer"?

What a rookie, a proper hoarder would buy two or three!

Borrow someone's truck and trailer, buy 5!

Don't forget that all those freezers need an independent and reliable power source. I think it's better and easier to just can all your food.
