sookite sookite:
if youre ever in Victoria look me up...I'll take you on a tour of the west coast fleet and give you a tour of the base you will never forget

Next time I'm up I'll try to remember to ping you and if you're up to lunch and a Scotch at the Bengal Room it'll be on me! [B-o]

No one jump on Hyack. He is following and enforcing the rules. Better to have someone enforce them as evenly as possible then have a biased rule keeper.

Sookite keep on coming here and posting. You'll get to 100 soon enough. One of us will resubmit you.

R=UP
He's also the only one at the moment, so hats off to Hyack.

Yeah I wasn't sure if he was still the only one. I've been to much on for a bit off for a bit to have kept up.

It may not be there in the near future.

Exactly. And he should be applauded for doing a great job in the face of adversity and for allowing us to, at times act like 12 diva's when our passions take over from our logic.

So my hat's definately off to Hyack for being the fair arbitrator to a bunch of lunatics[B-o]

Unfortunately, the can be said for the Pacific Fleet.

Yes, do keep stopping by. Always good to see a new member with something valuable to contribute.

Hyack @ Sat Jan 30, 2016 2:59 am

Hyack Hyack:
Guidlines to Receive a Medal

1) You cannot earn a medal until you have 100 or more posts.

2) The endorser will have to write a decent write-up on why he/she deserves the certain medal after he/she applies or gets chosen for a nomination. Instead of just saying “I nominate x for medal w”. You need to provide a good amount of proof (links/examples) and need to be very clear on why they deserve the medal. If he/she truly deserves the medal it will be easy to convince the moderators and give proof on why they deserve it.

3) Medals that aren’t deserved by people anymore, such as someone who may have the “Topic Jedi” medal suddenly stops creating a lot of topics and then never is heard of in the forum for a long length of time will have his/her medal taken away from them.

4) Medal nomination in obvious retaliation for a continuing conflict in the forums or to make a point will not be considered.

5) Moderating staff may award or remove medals (other than for inactivity) but only after a discussion has taken place within that group which may or may not be made public in the forums.

Having had zero luck in trying to contact Trevor, no surprise there eh...... And, with myself being the only moderator still active on site, I have no one to turn to for advice or for any kind of helpful information. It would appear I can make any decisions I wish to with absolute immunity! Using rule 5 I have decided, in this incident, to waive the 100 post rule before being eligible to receive a medal. This member first joined CKA over 8 years ago on May 08, 2007, he has made only 15 posts during that time and has had no warnings of any kind during that time. All things considered I can see no reason to withhold the Veteran Medal from a member who has just retired with 30 years of service to the RCN.

Congratulations on your new medal sookite..... [B-o]

That sounds like affirmative action.

So ... desertdude is gay because ... he's Muslim?

I don't get it.

I'm not surprised.

You're still fairly new anyway, so I let you in on a secret.

Begging for medals around here can very well get you nominated for the
ones you don't want.

I don't think he was begging for a medal.

Another Thing: The behavior you are talking about is common all over the net. People naturally receive negative attention when they beg for positive attention. Encyclopedia Dramatica runs on that.

Done, I'll just sand paper and polish away the gay part or donate that bit to Khar or do I have to be all the minorities at once ?
