Empty stores and a hang out for gangs and other undesirables is its claim to fame now.

   

YEAH for PP! And yes Ironically that's what parts of the parkade stairwells smell like at times.

It is still pretty safe but certainly did not live up to breathing new life into downtown. It is nice to have a big indoor parking lot though for Jets games.

My last venture over there I was in some Asian store on the 2nd floor, closer to the Staples, early morning one weekend this last year when 5 RCMP officers walked in with a dolly and still folded packing boxes. One kicked me out while one was reading the woman at the counter a warrant. Read in the paper the next day it was busted for selling counterfeit / knock off products labelled as originals.

My kids still like the big fountain but are jealous of the local kids who wade through it to collect pennies.
