A few comments:

1. What kind of idiot goes into a war zone that's too dangerous for the United States Marine Corps and armed only with a camera and a microphone?

2. This is an example of the liberal disconnect from reality where some people just can't allow themselves to acknowledge facts about the subhuman vermin that exist in the world. And then she puts herself in for a possible Darwin Award by putting herself in mortal danger.

3. Sucks to be a Canadian in this kind of situation because the CF isn't going to try to rescue you for fear of offending someone somewhere in Surrey. That and their new stealth snowmobile isn't much good on sand.

4. She insulted islam with an insincere conversion to islam and is now subject to a potential death sentence for apostasy in several islamic countries.

5. She pulled this stunt to 'launch her career'.

6. The utter, blind political correctness of the Canadian Government to tell the girl's parents that the muslims were 'unlikely' to rape her is revolting.

   

Foreign correspondents. They do it all the time.

   

You'd think slinging drinks in some of those joints in Calgary would prepare anyone for any sort of abuse they might encounter anywhere else.

Just kidding. Somali males are scum to the core. Clinton should have carpet bombed the place back in 1993 and reduced what was still standing there to dust and ashes.

   

And then pissed on the ashes.

   

Never had any sympathy for this woman.

I do. No one deserves to be treated that way.

And what the Somalis don't understand is they will always be treated as a backward barbaric people so long as they treat people like this. She was there to try to change our view of them, and all they did was reinforce why we should just leave them back in the stone age.

Just like when Somalis here compain that police aren't protecting them. But when someone walks into a crowded Somali bar and executes a Somai youth, and no one sees anything, it's the Police who must become clairvoyant to solve the crime.

She was naieve to go there, but it took some balls to do it anyhow.

   

Instead that jackass allowed those murderous vermin into the country as refugees.

To answer you first question;



Even if she was carrying a firearm, I doubt a Calgary cocktail waitress would do very well even against the typical Somali thug.

It ain't liberal disconnect, it's a desire to help those less fortunate than yourself, whereas those like yourself typically just want to bomb to shit out of everywhere (and then wonder why they hate you so much that they destroy the Twin Towers).

Most governments aren't going to send in commandos to rescue their citizens, simply because most don't have the ability to do so. Not many countries have the ability to launch commando raids on the other side of the planet by themselves. The US, UK, France and maybe Israel have the wherewithal to do so, the rest of us don't.

And I'm sure the government told her parents she wasn't getting raped simply to placate them. The last thing a parent of a kidnapped woman wants to hear is how their daughter is getting sodomized every day she is in captivity.

   

I wouldn't be so quick to say the CF wouldn't have been able pull off an extraction. JTF2 has participated in extractions before, and it isn't as if the Somali thugs would be much of a challenge.

Government probably doesn't want to kind in the habit of paying for elaborate rescues.

   

I don't think any of the highly trained units would have a problem going in and extracting people from a bunch of thugs. From what I've read about this sort of thing is that accurate hostage location prevents a successful surgical strike.
