BartSimpson BartSimpson:

No one is forced to join the Catholic Church and then become a nun. But in a growing number of fucked up Islamic countries women are FORCED to wear all sorts of demeaning outfits under penalty of prosecution and even death.

That's a big huge difference there.

Forced? or should I say it's in their culture/religion? U talked to Muslim women? Did you get their opinion? Did they tell you that they are forced to do so? what growing Muslim countries except Iran or may be Saudis? where?

You are not that of supporter of Muslim women. U do it because it allows you to bash Islam and fool common ones among you..

Your kind is announcing fukin points to pull the scarf of Muslim women in UK. I am sorry but that's true.

I think Muslims will settle these issues on their own...U don't need to worry about that. Your freedom regarding women looks like only revolve around their clothes.

They don't need sympathy or support from west or should I say "the right wingers of the west" who in guise of showing sympathy towards Muslim women, actually vent their hatred against Islam. Muslim women are bold and courageous. They always were.

U used term Madrassa to ridicule me...Only to find out that Madrassa is just Arabic name of School and it has produced great people...The King Aurangzeb who ruled India was also got taught in Madrassa...U know Mughal heritage/economy in India?

So, are you asking me to follow footsteps of King Aurangzaib

Zipperfish Zipperfish:

It just comes down to choice for me. If a woman chooses a veil, I have no problem with that. If she is forced, then I have an issue. We have boob burqas in Canada. By law, there is no requirement for a woman to cover her breasts, however the vast majority still do, whether due to choice to follow moral traditions, or because to many men a topless woman is seen to be an invitation to sex.

I hang out with lots of topless and naked women We all go camping together. I'm all about ending the boob burqa.

Your country, your rules/choices/customs.

Your last sentence almost made me laugh...I won't say or wish for that ever. I think it's very degrading for women.

I don't know, generally speaking, what problem people have with clothes in west...There was a news of naked flight where people put off their clothes in Germany I think

in 2008, a German travel agency launched the world's first nude airline to ferry passengers on a summer day trip from the German city of Erfurt to a popular Baltic Sea resort. Passengers had to be clothed while boarding and disembarking from the flight however.

I think we are going back to dark ages , in jungle when it comes to clothing...Where humans used to cover their bodies with trees/plants/leaves and were still searching to look for something to cover themselves....Tarzan comes into my mind

I just learned something. Speaking of women who left Islam...do you know who this is?

Image

It's Sibel Kekilli, who played Shae in Game of Thrones.

She's also an ex-Muslim who has done porn films. There are two ways to look at that. You can accept the Muslim version of she's a whore who was so corrupted she became an apostate or you can say she fled Islam to a place where even porn was preferable.

Either way, apparently it happens. I think the one-time, porn actress Mia Khalifa might be another example.

But as to Sibel here's where she stands currently:

$1:
I have experienced for myself that both physical and psychological abuse are regarded as normal in a Muslim family. Sadly, violence belongs to the culture of Islam.

As to the Muslim men stalking and now harassing her on her Instagram account she says:

$1:
You call yourselves Muslims, yet you don’t accept other people, especially not women or people of other beliefs. You are full of sh**… Honestly, I feel sorry for you. Stop following me. I will say goodbye for a little while.

If a woman doesn't want to wear a hijab, niqab, burkha, or any other similar garment I believe that's her choice. And if she wears something sexy or revealing then that doesn't give any man a right to rape her, molest her, insult her, beat her, throw acid in her face, stone her to death, behead her, or etc.

What a woman wears is her business.

How a man reacts to it is his business and if he can't control himself then he should be caged or killed as the dangerous threat that he is.

Any man who loses control of himself simply because he sees a woman's bare arms or legs cannot...not at all...claim to be a Godly man of faith.

I never said men should start masturbating or raping whenever they see a woman flaunting her assets...But clapping requires both hands. Islam asks for modesty and restraints from both sides...See..What's going on in Hollywood just recently...I was reading a report that almost every woman have been somehow molested by men in that film industry.

Heck, a non Muslim country Iceland decides to ban pornography.

Muslims do know that the Christians (men and women) who really follow the teachings of Jesus Christ (PBUH) will never wear tight/exposing clothes.

U quoted a excerpt from Bible, right? There's almost similar excerpt from Holy Quran.

Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do. (24:30)

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed. (24:31)

Look at this, though as well

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I was shown Hell and I have never seen anything more terrifying than it. And I saw that the majority of its people are women.” They said, “Why, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Because of their ingratitude (kufr).” It was said, “Are they ungrateful to Allah?” He said, “They are ungrateful to their companions (husbands) and ungrateful for good treatment. If you are kind to one of them for a lifetime then she sees one (undesirable) thing in you, she will say, ‘I have never had anything good from you.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 1052)

I was going through reading and got stuck at this...It forced me to think. I read it at whatsapp probably...Think deep...Obviously It is not easy to control your desires but you can do, if you want and if you don't want to....you'll find countless reasons for that...

A religious Muslim guy said that:-

We don't get born out of our own will.

We don't decide where we are gonna born.

We don't decide where will we die or how will we die.
(unless you commit suicide, a rare case)

Question arises

Then Why do we want to live our lives according to our own will??.

Meaning why not live according to teachings of our creator, the Allah?..

--------------------------------

The above made me lost into it....In Islam we are told that humans are have natural desire to do from what they have been forbidden from...This is test.

In Islam, we are also told that the way to heaven is filled with obstacles while the way to hell is filled with easiness (no obstacles)

Interesting...

This clicky little saying from you...

Fighter Fighter:
I never said men should start masturbating or raping whenever they see a woman flaunting her assets...But clapping requires both hands.

reminded me of this:

$1:
A senior Muslim cleric in Australia has sparked a furore by comparing women who do not wear a headscarf to "uncovered meat", implying that they invited sexual assault.

Sheik Taj Aldin al-Hilali delivered his comments in a religious address on adultery to around 500 worshippers in Sydney last month, but they only came to the attention of the wider public when they were published in the Australian paper today.

Sheik Hilali was quoted as saying: "If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside ... without cover, and the cats come to eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats' or the uncovered meat's? The uncovered meat is the problem. If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab [the headdress worn by some Muslim women], no problem would have occurred."

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2006/ ... a.marktran

Either way, it's saying the same thing. In your analogy, she's the second hand that once present needs clapping. In the Imam's analogy, she's the meat.

One can't help thinking this may be behind things like the skyrocketing rape statistics in Sweden aligning with the skyrocketing Muslim immigration or the 1000s of gang grooming assaults on young girls in Britain by mostly Pakistani Muslim men.

Perhaps this way of thinking needs to be corrected somehow before Muslims venture west, or if they can't fix it maybe the west is not for them.

You are correct in that I believe the quotes are more or less accurate expressions of what is present in Islamic texts.

There are contradictions concerning attitudes towards women in those Islamic texts. I suspect these could be written off to the Islamic policy of abrogation we discussed earlier.

However, Mohammed appeared to be consistent concerning the business of mostly women in Hell. In your link, he writes it off to them being ungrateful to their owners men. Apparently, Allah wants them in Hell for that.

Here's another one where Mohammed explains how to deal with ungrateful wenches here on earth:

N_Fiddledog @ Sat Mar 17, 2018 9:45 am

There are many examples in Mohammed's teachings or actions that make me question this assertion of his belief in the equality of women.

For example this:

$1:
Quran (4:11) - (Inheritance) "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females" (see also verse 4:176). In Islam, sexism is mathematically established.

Quran (2:282) - (Court testimony) "And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women." Muslim apologists offer creative explanations to explain why Allah felt that a man's testimony in court should be valued twice as highly as a woman's, but studies consistently show that women are actually less likely to tell lies than men, meaning that they make more reliable witnesses.

Quran (2:228) - "and the men are a degree above them [women]"
