The mountie, who was supporting the gun registry, and running it was thankfully removed.Given that his salary and promotion opportunities were dependent on it, of course he was it's greatest supporter. He had a huge personal financial stake in keeping it alive, as do the chiefs of police, who's promotions and wage hikes are based on the increase in the police bureaucracy. It's interesting that a recent poll showed that the rank and file cops on the street were 92 % opposed to maintaining the gun registry. They say they have far better ways to spend the time and money, on things that really work.
One small town mountie said they accessed the gun registry 10,000 times a day. How dense do they think we are? That would take more than 24 hours a day leaving them zero time for donuts and lying in court.
Since we all watched them lie time and time again , under oath, in the Dziekanski inquiry, contradicting everything we saw on the tape, and lied in the RCMP murder of Ian bush, why should anyone believe anything they say now? How gullible would one have to be to believe anything they say?

Their credibility has declined to zero.
