It's far more complex than that. 'Deep learning' takes a simple program, and through repetition gives it insight into things that we can't see. And we also really don't know how it works.

It can find new drug combinations that we wouldn't have tried. It can predict chemical interactions better than us, making new compounds that are unexpected.

But that's all they can do. ;)
