On some level of consciousness I actually hope not.
After looking at the current state of the world, it's far from stellar leadership and the overly large portion of scum sucking assholes who inhabit this little blue rock, I'd say the planet needs a GREAT BIG DO OVER . So, if the only way that happens is with a major extinction event, then bring it on because, as a species we're probably the worst one the good lord ever created.
Oh shit, I think I've been in isolation to long because now i'm starting to sound alot like Thanos.
