Well it is that time of year again...I've got to get out of this place.

One of the guys on my hockey team got a package at a 3.5 star hotel in Mexico for $135 +$200 taxes leaving from Toronto last Feb. I think it was on Red Tag Vacations. Apparently they had a very nice trip and the hotel was top notch.

Has anyone seen any good deals this year? Cuba, Mexico, Dominician, Bahamas...

I wouldn't even consider a trip to Cuba or Mexico. There are plenty of other warm destinations that are much safer and don't support corruption.
Since Air Canada is never on time, doesn't care and charges for baggage.......try here. They actually care.

Cruises are pretty cheap right now.

+1 on the Westjet. But I have seen some vacations that were under $1000 including air (out of Toronto) and a week (all inclusive) in Cuba. $1500 to $2000 for places like St. Lucia or Turks and Caicos. Hard to resist!

That's true too. I forgot to add that I personally avoid charter jet companies too. The seating in some of them I swear must be dangerous because they are jammed in so close. Flew to Costa Rica a few years back and that was the only bad part of the trip. My knees were stuck in the back of the seat in front of me for the whole 4 or 5 hour flight. I guess if your willing to put up with a little suffering though........

That's like being trapped in a mall.

You can always try sunwing.ca....flew with them to Florida earlier this year. Lots of legroom, real hot cloth towels, champagne and just as nice as Westjetters!!!

Last week we took Skyservice to Jamaica out of TO and it really wasn't bad at all.

Absolute worst flights for being jammed in was Air Canada YOW-YYC well over twenty years ago and those stupid Air Canada CRJ cigar tubes flying out of Yellowknife for the last few years.

It's like being trapped in a mall with free food, open bars, cute little things in bikinis on the sun deck, valet service, duty free liquor shopping, and a casino. Feel free to lock me up anytime! :D

Try some deals with the online service providers. Some hot destinations these days are Mexico, Havana, Grand Cayman, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana etc.
The prices range between 800-1200 for a 5days stay single.

Good luck with your travel

Tou le suis et tou le sois? That's French for "I'll have a shoe with cheese on it, shove it down my throat, and I want to massage your grandmother". Oooooooh, yeah.
