So the whole premise of sending him to Sweden was just a ruse to get him under control of a US ally and have him renditioned. I'm not even surprised.

Imagine the effect on journalism if here were charged and forced to prove his innocence for doing nothing illegal!

   

Journalists are already under attack for doing their jobs.

   

Assange will never stand trial. He's almost certain to die in custody from a sudden heart attack or maybe he'll commit suicide in his cell like so many other inconvenient people conveniently do.

   

That'll learn those pesky journalists who want to tell the truth!
