Good to see that invasion and all those lives lost were worth it.

   

That's a solid return on a $2.4 Trillion investment

50/50 chance that they were put up by Iraqi Sunnis in the employ of the Saudis and, by extension, Likud. All to keep the war-drums going in the wake of the John Bolton dismissal/resignation.

   

Why not just withdraw and not take sides. When they murder each other, and are crying for aid, deny that too. They don't like the west, so leave them to their fate.

   

Unfortunately an existential "you broke it, you buy it" policy comes into moral & ethical effect any time a giant country pounds the shit out of a smaller one and smashes all of it's infrastructure to tiny pieces. The reasons for the invasion being completely bogus just make the responsibility deeper.

   

You have a point. Why does everything have to turn to shit?

That's why my vote is for Asteroid 2020. Make Earth sterile again.

   

It's a detestable era we're in right now. A devastating collapse in morale and basic decency is a terrible thing to have to live through.

   

But IF we want to play that game I can take it back to the End of WWI with France and England taking over the region with the dismantlement of the Ottoman Empire. Just saying
