Lululemon is just days away from opening its first ever standalone men's 'Athletica' store in New York City.

The 1,600-square-foot space is located at 127 Prince Street in New York's SoHo district. It will stand opposite from the new women's store and is the first men's store for the athletic wear retailer.

The store's design elements were all put together by the in-house team led by director Robert Maylan and pick out classic elements from the history of the SoHo neighborhood, blending them with the brand's own West Coast roots in Vancouver, using a palette of wood, raw concrete, steel and glass.

The Athletica boutique is anchored by a custom-made community table, with the store eschewing the classic tills for concierge-style wireless payment.

The space will also host different pop-up projects in 'The Joinery', the first of which, 'Short Batch,' is led by Lululemon's R&D team and will work to expand Lululemon's product innovation, including asking men to select their preferred shell and liner to create a made-to-measure pair of shorts.

The store's opening date is Nov. 28, or Black Friday.
