That's a pretty big umbrella, Kory. The Greens are increasingly conservative, David Orchard and the new PCs are also conservative. While I support a unification of like-minded parties in order to gain a larger voice, I'm not at all sure that the compromises needed to bring such diverse parties together are the way to go. My big fear is that we'd end up with another Liberal Party. <br /> <br />Maybe narrowing the scope and developing into two new parties would be a better way to go?
If Proportional Representation is implemented (and it looks like it might be soon) their would be no need for such a union. They could make up a coalition government, however.
I agree! PR is the most important thing Jack Layton should focus on. If we actually get it then parties will be elected by there popular vote.
