Anyone else in Alberta getting this dump?
Allmost a foot in the last 2 hours and the scanner's going nuts with accidents. Anyone from Calgary thinking of heading south think again, the roads arent closed yet but will be when they run out of cops, tow trucks and ambulances. Were up to 9 accidents all within 2 miles of my place. The calls are coming in at about one every 2 minutes now.

Any Calgarians thinking of driving on #22 or #2 south please dont.
Visibility is at 100 meters and heavy snow falling.
Cops are recommending stay home and rent a movie, driving conditions are treacherous.

Road's should be closed within the half hour, people still just cruise along like it was summer.

Just in-we ran out of tow trucks, flip that suv and it's staying there for the night.

Nice and quiet now with no vehicles on the highway, not sure why but something must have happened besides the semi jacknifed on 22. 8O Everyone flys on that road, shortcut to Calgary and no cops untill black diamond. So a semi coming at you at 120 kph kicks up a snow trail for a 1/4 mile behind them.
Snows getting heavier and go's all the way to Fernie.
Good night to sit home and try and regain some of my arcade trophy's.

Well don't just sit there, get out and join them. Time's a wasting.

8O
A month ago I went from this side of Bow Island (East ) driving 220kms through heavy snow to white out conditions , no plows no traffic except for me and the Rigs . At times I was traveling at 30kms per hour . Took me from 9:50pm to 4:45am making one stop on Cypress Hills in the middle of nowhere because I was going cross eyed .

Just talked to my brother on the phone, he was driving home from work and made some little remark about having to dodge a snowplow in the middle of a totally unrelated sentance.

Geuss they must be getting it there too, he's in the Hat...
