Looking for people from Alberta!

True dat, again.

If this so called "avid hiker" really was an avid hiker, he'd be just a taaaaaaaaaad more resourceful. Information on that area is not difficult to find. Nor is it hard to figure out with some basic common sense and some basic knowledge of the general area. None of which he has apparently bothered to investigate during his months of research.

I just want to know why he's concerned with rocks. Is he picky about them being felspar or gneiss. If they're in the river, they are wet and usually rounded.
Brenda Brenda:
But but... He has lived in the mountains all his life, and wants to know what the weather is like from May till August!!
I have a nice Dutch one for him...
't Ken vriezen, 't ken dooien
(Ha, try to translate that with google translate

)
We were just discussing that!

He's looking for a new pet. He killed his last one while gaming.

I'm sticking with him being a travel agent. He knows too little about the subject to even be a weekend wannabe warrior.

Or to have lived in the mountains "all his life". Hell, I know more...
kyresearcher kyresearcher:
And what kind of fish can be found in the streams?
The swimmy kind.
kyresearcher kyresearcher:
What about snakes?
You don't usually find those in streams.
kyresearcher kyresearcher:
Are their caves as well? I would assume that one could find caves in a mountain region.
Pretty safe assumption. Pretty safe to assume the hungry grizzlies found them first too.
kyresearcher kyresearcher:
What is the average daylight temps as well as night temps from May to August?
This is why people think you are full of shit. This information can be found online, and it is completely irrelevant for back country travel. It will be cold, hot, rainy, snowy, sunny and foggy. And that is just the first morning.
I just don't trust anyone named "KY researcher". Makes me nervous to turn my back.
OK, well thanks for all your thoughtful information. Hope when you need help you will luck into someone who is willing to give it!
