How about you Pussy Willows quit being tattletales, pull up your big girl panties, leave the Mod Squad alone and also maybe be more creative with the insults sorta like back in the day. :D

You are awesome. It's good to have you back around here!

Odd I had the opposite with you a while back. I asked a legit question in regards if doing something ( I don't recall exactly what) was actually breaking a tenant of the Islamic faith. You threw a hissy fit claiming I was being bigoted or something along that lines and stated clearly that you would just ignore me. I see that is not the case because you chose to quote a response that was given to a question I asked on here. I'm not saying you have been nasty just chose to throw a fit because of what ever reason you felt offended by being asked a question.

It depends on the question you asked, doesn't it? Some questions are better left unasked or unanswered, in the name of civility.

No.

Asking question is the first step towards progress.
That is the West has progressed, and some others... haven't.

Some questions aren't asked for the sake of 'progress', some are only asked to evoke emotions from people. It's not an 'east/west' thing, it's an 'this is the internet' thing.

Asking a non devout Muslim why they don't strictly adhere to a certain part of the Koran, or asking a devout Christian why they don't stone a family member to death for working on a Sunday; has no benefit in a debate. And both questions can, and should be, ignored.

I think some of the onus falls on the responded to be civil. I don't think we shy from some discussion just for the sole reason it may offend is the root of the problem plaguing society today. Civility has to apply to both parties.

If the person asking the question wasn't a dick when asking the question, the response can't (or shouldn't) be dickish.

Free Speech sometimes means discussing controversial or taboo topics.

Absolutely. But it's hard sometimes to tell which someone was trying to be; inquisitive or trolling.

One man's sarcasm is another man's troll, as I was recently reminded. ;)

As the troll's troll, I get it. However, as my mom would say, "it takes two to tango". Civility something incumbent on both debating parties to maintain.

The funny thing is I also don't recall why I ignored you

Maybe I thought you were trolling and being just anti Islam without any seriousness.

I have noticed that it's always the same two or three members throwing the personal insults around (not mentioning any names!). I try to keep myself clean in this respect, but I am not perfect, and have dispensed a couple of close calls.

I personally appreciate the job done by the mods here, and find them more fair than mods on a couple other forums I belong to.

I will tow the line best I can.

I don't think I can commit to this plea. These times are too dangerous now, with extremists and outright psychopaths running amok everywhere now. It's like the 1920's and 30's all over again, where civility and politeness towards those who deserved to be thrown down a well and then covered over with concrete got away with the worst things humans are capable of simply from far too others refusing to defy them.

Oh well. If the West had taken the threat of red fascism (commonly mistaken for communism) seriously, none of that would have happened.
And now, as history repeats itself, people like you whine about the rise of right-wing extremism as it once again raises its ugly head in defiance of left-wing fascism. Put an end to the ALT-left fascists and the ALT-right will dry up and blow away.

And maybe some day I'll explain how Hitler got a predominantly religious country to look the other way when it came to their friends and neighbours that were Jews.

We don’t need an explanation, the Right is already committed to providing a live demonstration
