This is a private website, and the rules clearly state that racism is not permitted. It's hardly an issue of free speech rights.

I'm just wondering - I saw one very lengthy post which extolled the "virtues" of KKKer David Duke. Am I correct in assuming that there were more offending posts of this sort and that there was more than one person doing this?

Blue Nose and QBC are correct – this is a private website where guidelines have been clearly promulgated. These bigoted clowns freely chose to disregard said rules and in doing so freely accepted the responsibility and the subsequent consequences.

There isn’t unbridled freedoms here, so the debate is moot regarding whether they crossed any lines as according to the site’s moderators (and forum guidelines) they did go too far. I’m not against freedom of speech or expression, but these are the rules here and everyone has the freedom to post somewhere else if they don’t condone or accept CKA’s policies.

No, I think I remember this little incident, it was a person, or persons, who came on and started supporting and preaching Klan members.

   

Yes sometimes these things slip through into forums and the scary part is that they are real and people do try to use forums as a sourcefor their organization . Thats just spooky
