1. I don't know where the people are who have set up this forum, but I can tell where they are NOT. They are NOT in Atlantic Canada

If they were they would know that Newfoundlanders take major exception to being called 'in the maritimes'. That's ok when you're only talking about NS, NB & PEI.

But when you include Newfoundland and Labrador, the correct descriptor is Atlantic Canada. So, if you want residents of NL to take part, correct that pronto.

2nd Error. Officially the name of the province is Newfoundland and Labrador, all through Parliament, etc. & check your postal code abbreviations via Canada post too. You will find that the abbreviation for the province is NL. This has been the case for more than 3 year years.

Get with the programme!!! Checking and getting correct facts goes a long way.

:)

It can be called Atlantic Canada or the Atlantic Provinces.

And way to introduce yourself in a warm welcoming manner.

Hi how are you?

I just love the new short forms :roll:
make it simple only makes it more confusing.
EG: B.C is also Baha California
CA is also California
NL Netherlands

P.G =Prince George
F.S.J =Fort St.John
C.V =Comox Valley
F.V= Fraser Valley

Lots more,and gets better when people just use the word "city" to identify where its going

Lets just see if Cornelius joins this forum. He's from that other NL, Netherlands. He has family over here in ON, yet didn't know about our two letter postal abbreviations.

Tell me, did I make a splash!! Or what

Do you think the powers that be will be awake? They'd better be.

BTW, I'm a CFA. De ye know that'un?

Just so ya know you can't slip one past lily. She has you pegged already. And most of us will agree her. I know I do.
And I don't think the site admin is gonna get too stressed about this. No offense intended, to anyone. You gotta learn to relax. Breathe deeply.

So sorry Skipper. In the future, we'll refer to Newfs as being 'in Fort McMurray'. :)

Can't swing a dead cat here in Fort Mac without some Newf bumming a smoke. :lol:

Come From Away.

Breath easy, huh!
Don't even suggest immitating that percentage of the population south
of our border who take pride in no even knowing much about their own country.

T'ain't something to be proud of.

Those errors, I mean.
