Merged - Paul and the Seals
Maybe we can get him to change his mind and just have a concert here in the maritimes
And serve him seal flipper pie

Wonder if he's in cahoots with Bono, multi-million dollar figures telling other nations what to do, what to spend, foreign polices etc.
It's that time again..... I am so glad we have celebraties who want to save the world and the seals. Yea... those nasty Canadians.

....Paul McCartney and his wife will travel to the ice floes off the Canadian Maritimes this week to observe seal pups before the country's annual hunt opens, the Humane Society of the United States said....
What about the Humane Society of Canada? Maybe you should offer Sir Paul a seal burger for lunch?

Lets both give Paul a phonecall and tell him that for $100000 geach we won't kill any more seals.
(just finished watching up to "epi 13 "ephianies" and will have seen them all by the weekend. The battle scene from when they smoked the 2 Basestars and ressurection ship was awesome.)

McCartney Opposes Seal HuntNow, I'm not asking for a debate on the seal hunt itself, but what does Paul McCartney think he's going to contribute to this debate? Does being an internationally successful musician mean he can use his fame as a soapbox?
Can we stop him? He is entitled to his opinion but that doesn't mean it will sway mine. I wish he would put the focus on something like Darfur but it's his choice.

No, I'm not suggesting that we stop him from saying his piece... I think it's just ignorant for him to think that his mere presence will make our government change their minds on the matter...

He is just adding his voice to a choirs of others and by so doing he is supporting his beliefs. Nothing disingenuous about that.

Nothing disingenuous about this either
Paul McCartney will be debating NewFoundland Premier Danny Williams on Larry King Live tonight.......
I usually despise CNN, but I think that could be interesting.
