I moved from NYC to St. John's NL for my now husband who works offshore there. I have spent a year here and I am ready to move. We want him to be able to keep his job, so i'm thinking our best bet is Nova Scotia. Halfiax is at least a city, and the real estate within 35 minutes isn't too expensive price wise. For the same price as our house here we were looking at double the house and double the land.
I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice or anything about Halfiax and the surrounding areas to help me make a decision to move.
Thank You!
Tell us why you're REALLY here?
And "she" started another thread with the same post. :
Not the first time either... "she" posted this one last year too.

Man, advice these days is hard to come by on Canadian message boards.
Oh and should have listened to the people a year ago on my first post... The post that "she" made.
The weather won't be much better.
And 'commuting' from Halifax out to the oil fields won't be as easy as you think.
