What is your favorite type of fish.

Kokanee are good... and really pretty too, with their orange flesh and white skin.
My favourite fish right now is an Asian catfish called Basa. I marinate it in lemon and oil, and then bake for 20 min. with butter, fresh lime and fresh chopped basil.
If I don't feel like marinating, I place thick slices of orange in a frying pan and lay the fillets over top, then cook till the oranges sizzle. Then add water, cover and steam another 15 or so minutes.
If there are leftovers, it makes a delicious sandwich.
It doesn't smell or taste "fishy" and my kids love it.

Looks very good...I must try your recipe. I enjoy most fish but my favourite is trout!

Ohhh I miss the smell of the ocean.
I'm not a fan of pacific salmon or trout....I love "fish-n-brewis"....mmmmm mmm.....it just flakes right apart....think I'll go make some.

I prefer fresh water to salt water fish. And my favorites would be perch, crappy, and pike.

A topic that is near and dear to my heart. My favorite,without a doubt is boiled salt herring and blue potatoes. Tongues and sounds are pretty tasty(Newfies will know what these are).

I was in TO for six years...and everytime I would get of the plane in Halifax I would take a nice big breath...and to this day I cant remember anything that smells and tastes as good as the ocean.

I have to agree with kitty on this one. There is no type of fish or seafood that I don't like. If I lived in a place like Hawai'i, fish would be My #1 meat and pork would drop from the list.
However there's nothing better than grilled ahi tuna served rare.
