Scape Scape:
The pitch is geared towards RRSP investors looking for a higher return, invest local and still keep a safe investment. Does this not then meet that target group and is there any way that returns could be improved without going to short term investments?

It just depends what the real investment objectives are. If they are to support the Provincial economy and to get a tax break, with returns down the list of priorities, then it's great. I had a client purchase some yesterday and those were his main objectives.

If your objective is first and foremost returns, then I would say that, based on track record, this is not the choice for you.

Going to short term investments would only marginally increase the return.
