We are just back from our interview in Berlin.
We are approved!!!!
We can expect a letter next week, or the week after, to send in our passports, and they will put the visas in! Than, after landing, we will be Permanent Residents of Canada!
This is SO cool! I think I''m gonna hang the Canadian Flag out my window!
oh Brenda that is great!
i just can not help but wonder why you plan a trip to Canada and not include Toronto. We may not have mountains or the ocean.... but come on.... its Toronto!
Too many cats maybe? ........ooops inside voice.
October 13th is the day, we fly to Canada on a one-way ticket...
Congratulations Brenda Wish I could join you! lol
Wow that's a good choice Brenda!
When we move back to Canada eventually, we'll be moving to BC as well. Alberta is just too expensive now and my husband prefers BC anyway. I'm not complaining! lol
Thanks! We thought so too! Not that we have seen all of BC, it is just that you list your demands (reasons why to leave Holland in the first place) and find a region that suites your wishes.
Marc is a ski-nut, he has been that way since he was a boy, but mountains is not something we have here. So that was high on the list. I hate cities larger then 35,000 people, so Vancouver was out of the question (like we could afford it ), we have been to the Okanagan Valley, and we loved Armstrong and Enderby, but that got really expensive too (and Vernon was not our dream city either...) so we went on a trip again, this time to the Kootenays. Bingo!
You think you fit in one of my suitcases, Dim? I'll be happy to put you in one... awwww, I don't think your belly would fit
LOL Thanks anyway Brenda
I'm hoping for us to move back in about 3-4 years, before the kid starts school. We'll see how things pan out!
I just left a message on your blog! Are you sure you'll be okay living so close to the US border? haha
OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!
Good for you girl!!!!
Look forward to seeing you and the familly when you cross the pond!!!
That is so wonderful Brenda!
Thanksgiving (the second Monday in October) is October 8th this year but it sounds like you will be celebrating one week later. Turkey is good anyday and so is being thankful.
It sure is!
The funny thing about Thanksgiving for us is, we spent the last two years celebrating it in Canada (we don't have Thanksgiving here...)
In 2005 we were at Marcs cousin's in South-Surrey, and last year we celebrated it at a friends house in Saskatoon. I guess this year we will make it a Dutch/Canadian one here in Holland
Hey Brenda,
I maybe a little late in the game, but wanted to say ``Congrats``.
You'll love Canada for sure.
It's nice to see nice people such as yourself immigrate to Canada
