Agreed. Preferably, there will be a better proposed alternative to FPTP in the future. STV would be a nice start, but it's not without its glaring flwas.

   

STV needs 60% and in every area. Not a chance in hell of that happening. This is lip service because there is not way it will pass.

Same goddam thing I heard a radio caller say today, along with "why do we have to vote again? We voted it down last time!"

Nobody called him on the fact that 58% of us voted FOR it, which is a majority in all but the next to impossible conditions set. Yet you can be damned sure the moron would be back on the radio whining if the NDP took the majority of seats with a minority of votes like it did once before and STV is meant to prevent.

Fuck I'm getting disgusted with "democracy" watching it turn into a Triumph of the Ignoroids. We really will be watering crops with Gatorade soon....
