...I know the West Coast never gets as much snow as ...other parts of Canada, however this is beyond ridiculous.

I want to go snowboarding damnit!

I'm going to Washington in a few days, and even Mt. Baker which typically has snow year round, isn't even open for the season! None of the mountains in Montana have snow either!!!! UGH!

Wish our mountains would stop being naked already.

I'll trade weathers with you if you want, you take all the snow in Ontario and you give us you're non snow weather.

Atleast we will be getting a lot of exersize, shoveling is hard work. Expecially with a long driveway.

above 3 500m for us. It fell for a bit at the 3000 m level but that has melted. Last year we had snow in Alishan(posted pics from a friend). In 2005 it actually fell at the 900 m - 1000 m level in Yangmingshan outside of Taipei. In about a 3 to 4 hour drive you can go from tropical to alpine here.

we have about 10cm in Calgary

Brenda @ Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:24 am

a cm or 2 here in the Kootenays, and I am told that is pretty normal for the time of year.
Red Mountain always wants to open on December 5th, those expectations are never met. There have been years they haven't opened at all!

You just need to move to the real mountains Brenda. Lake Louise has been open more than a month now. Sunshine, 2 days less of a month.
