start an etrade account and let it fly. speculative stocks all the way!!
That is pretty high risk. I'd say go with a mutal fund. What is with ING not locking in savings accounts? Can these be used as a chequing account?

The market is easy to beat. Buy low, Sell high!

While I cannot speak specifically about the ING account, I assume it's similar to the PC Financial savings account, which also has floating rates. You can't use it as a chequing account, but you can transfer money out of it with 24 hours notice.

Just because the price is low doesn't mean it can't go down

Ok so if you get a credit union chequing account with no card fees, a savings account such as PC and a bond (I’m thinking locked in but interest may go up). You put most of your money in the bond, enough to pay your monthly bills, weekly bills in savings, and once a week put enough from your savings into your chequing to pay your day to day expenses.
I was just kidding....but if you do have some money to spend then the market can be fun, just got to realize that it's like gambling, don't put money in that you aren't prepared to lose

I was too, but since you mention it I believe E*Trade Canada has a high interest savings account now.
