Digital media is the future. Yes they are transitioning but why not just liquidate and start a fresh new IP and cut the fat?
Call me a dinosaur, but I'm never planning on getting rid of my physical media. Digital media is just another way for corporations to charge you over and over for the same media.
I get that but there is a tradeoff. Nothing sounds like vinyl but can you have then entire world in your pocket?
We are moving away from individual products and transitioning to brands. As long as they don't go bankrupt there is low cost access for the masses and that is where the money is.
On January 28th, when people opened Robinhood hoping to buy into the stock market craze around companies like GameStop, they found something strange. They couldn't. Robinhood had frozen purchases of shares for a number of companies, but still allowed the selling of those shares.
The internet went crazy. Members of congress called for an inquiry. Could Robinhood even do that?
