Can you flesh this out a bit Chris?
if true...
They could be ours. More than likely JTF2.
JTF2 or not, they are definitely NOT mine. IF they were mine, I'd tell them to go home and do something else more constructive, such as playing video games or watching TV.

I heard they got addicted over in Afghanistan
"More than likely JTF2."

This is where you excel Dr C. i have no doubts as to your military equiptment knowledge.

on another note
What we also need to be cognisant of is how quick we can be to get spooked
A client of mine tipped me off to this story.

Yes, I'll definitely look further into it. I'm hoping to ride out to the Penticton Airport and ask some questions and take pictures. During the meanwhile, check out these links concerning USANORTH.

http://www.5tharmy.army.mil/default.htm

http://www.watchermagazine.com/?p=6929

http://www.northcom.mil/newsroom/news_release/2006/101806.htm

Process of elimination. I can't find any mention of exercises in the area. JTF2 usually wears all black. JFT2's missions - including training, are classified. JFT2's equipment list is also classified, but I know there were rumours they had a few Blackhawks.

Unknowns wearing black inside our borders, probabally JTF2. QED.

And as you say, no need to get spooked.

"Which means that we have no idea who they are working for, and it's most likely not us."
Well there was hovering over my abode and my e.l.f. meter was going wild.
OK, here's the story my client told me about.

http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2006/10/17/border-patrol.html
Ahhh! Ok. Whatever. It's their fuel, let them feel more comfortable by burning it.
Watch the videos. No matter how they spin it, it's just more police state. (Why not just put up a fence like on the south side? LOL!)
Branch in Montana will patrol the border that Alberta and Saskatchewan share with Montana and North Dakota.
I thought the original post said that blackhawk helicopters were spotted near Penticton or Princeton?
Please re-read the last paragraph in that article. It shows 'All your base belong to US' set up in Bellingham, Washington State.

It was my mistake when first I reported choppers in the Okanagan. They are actually south from us on the border only. Unless, they wouldn't be flying to and from Penticton Airport (with their shiny new Homeland Security Sign and all), would they?
