Sitting here this evening avoiding the superbowl like the black death and saw a couple different commericials for the new Billy Bob Thorton movie "The Astronaut Farmer".

On the US channel the trailer was all about the dream of the man to go to space.

On the Canadian channel the trailer was all about the big bad US govt trying to stop him, to the point they are ready to kill him over it.

Are we that blatant, that even Hollywood has us sterotyped as anti-American?

Maybe they decided that Billy Bob isn't that popular up here, and we'd just like seeing him killed in a movie

Well he is pretty annoying

But Hollywood fucking sucks ass, so who knows.

I want to see this movie.... I hear it's really funny.

The US calling us "Anti-Americans" is just like a black man calling me a racist cause I told him something he didn't like, even if it was not motivated by racism.

I used to play that MMORPG, World of Warcraft and some day, I just said that Henry Ford was just as bad as Hitler, and I got 3-days banned for "Anti-Americanism"...

I really think that most people have us "stereotyped" as being Anit-American, well those who realize we dont live withthe polar bears.

I know that I speak to a lot of people through my work and ship a lot of freight in and out of the US and most people bash the US. I dont completly get it myself. Don't get me wrong, I am a very PROUD Canadian, but to me we are not far off from the US. And I am not speaking about political views....
