There is this new young American guy at my work, and he had the nerve, to several times today to call us Canadians, or our Canadian government a socialistic, communistic government!

I've been out of the Canadian politics for a very long time & come to this site to learn that much more about my country

So lets not laugh too much with my question

Which party is considered to be so communinstic ... so left in their politics/views in Canada? & are they in power? do they have majority of seats ... etc.

In the eyes of some Americans, I can see how they would preceive Canada as socialastic due to goverment funding of Health Care. Isn't USA a capitalist ... privite funded ... country.???

   

Ask to define that satatment and explain why he said that... Lets see if he EVEN knows what he's talking about

   

Of any country in the world I live in the most socialistic of them all .... Sweden. The Social Dem's were just voted in for another 4 years ... but they are no near left as the communist party ...!

Can someone tell me which party in Canada is the left communist party ?

   

none in my view, The Liberals could be seen as a bit of a dictatorship

You know, I started coming to this site because I love the Canadian content, but why the blatant Anti-Americanism? It's embarrassing.

   

It was not anti amrican or anti anything, just poking fun at some one who seems to think he knows it all....

   

OK... were gonna need some chloroform, a damp rag, and a airline ticket...

First thing, we get this guy as he is going to work, knock him out with the chloform, put on a flight to China when he wakes up there will be a note beside him saying "YOU THINK CANADA IS COMMUNIST!"
